PROFESSIONAL REVIEW

Top Shelf Entertainment is synonymous with first rate classy entertainment. The owner, manager, dancer, stripper and choreographer of the company, Leigh, works hard at keeping it that way. He is a dancer who can strip, not a stripper who can’t dance. He hand picks and trains all his employees to make sure they represent the Top Shelf code of excellence and he is happiest when he’s busy dreaming up the next big show. Leigh has been keeping women entertained at his full-on cabaret type shows for over six years. Every show is well thought out with nothing left to chance. It’s like being on a movie set and watching the actors play a role complete with perfect setting, mood lighting and background themes.
On a night out to The Leederville in Perth he watched paid dancers entertaining the crowd and came up with some of his own ideas. He started dancing professionally Michael Jackson style and did a show called ‘Men in Black’, break dancing. At this point, ‘stripping’ and male stripping agencies were alien to him. Starting his own dance group and calling it ‘Feed the Floor Entertainment’, he came up with his own choreography and themes like ‘Gangster-SWAT’, Boogie Nights and Mortal Kombat’. Agencies started hiring him to dance at strip clubs as he got a lot of response from the women, which was good for business. He then moved in with a friend who was part of the stripping scene, little knowing his life was about to change.
After a couple of years, Leigh saw a business opportunity and decided to start his own business and Top Shelf Entertainment was born, putting on their first show in 2008. He had learned all he could, had experienced what was on offer and just knew he could do it better. Starting with offering his strippers coaching and training in choreographed shows that was never provided within other companies at the time, Top Shelf Entertainment makes sure their customers get bang for their buck. At their first show the venue was packed out and through great shows and satisfied customers, Topshelf’s longevity was assured.
